QR code menu ordering that sends orders straight to your kitchen
TabFlat gives every table its own QR code. Guests scan it with their phone camera, see your menu with photos, sizes, add-ons, diet tags and allergens, and send their order. It opens in the browser, so there is nothing to download.
How it works
- 1Add your tables and print the QR cards, six to an A4 page.
- 2A guest scans the code, picks dishes and places the order.
- 3You accept it on the counter screen, or switch on auto-accept so it goes straight to the kitchen.
- 4The guest watches the status live, and can call a waiter or ask for the bill from the same page.
What you get
- Menu with photos, sizes, add-ons, veg and non-veg tags and allergens
- Choose per restaurant: staff accept each order, or auto-accept
- Live order status on the guest's phone, from confirmed to ready
- Call a waiter and ask for the bill from the table
- Prices are always worked out on the server, so a guest cannot change them
- Guests pay the restaurant directly at the counter; TabFlat never touches your money
Questions about qr code menu ordering
Do guests need to download an app to order?
No. The QR code opens your menu in the phone's browser. Guests can add it to their home screen if they like.
Can I accept or reject QR orders myself?
Yes. By default each new table order waits on your Live orders screen until staff accept or reject it. You can switch on auto-accept so orders go straight to the kitchen.
Does TabFlat take a commission on QR orders?
No. You pay one flat monthly fee. Guests pay you directly, so there is no commission and no payment gateway in the middle.
What if a guest scans the code but is not at the table?
By default a table's first order waits for staff to accept it, there is a limit of one QR order per table every 20 seconds, and you can regenerate a table's QR code at any time to cancel a copied sticker.
