A kitchen display system your chefs can use on any screen
Accepted orders appear on the kitchen screen at once, split by station such as Kitchen and Bar. Tickets change colour as they age, and the guest sees progress on their phone.
How it works
- 1An order is accepted by staff, or by auto-accept, and a ticket appears with a sound.
- 2The chef taps an item to start it and again to mark it ready.
- 3Bump the ticket when everything is ready; recall it if you bumped too soon.
- 4Staff serve it, and the table is cleared once it is paid and fully served.
What you get
- Tickets by station, with the table or takeaway token, notes and add-ons
- Colour by age, so late orders stand out
- Print an 80 mm kitchen ticket per station, or print automatically on the kitchen device
- Payment and food are separate: a guest can pay while the kitchen is still cooking
- No kitchen screen? Turn it off and the counter handles everything
- Works on a tablet, TV or any browser and keeps the screen awake
Questions about kitchen display system
Do I need special hardware for the kitchen screen?
No. Open the kitchen page on any tablet, TV or computer. It keeps the screen awake and plays a sound for new tickets.
Can I use TabFlat without a kitchen screen?
Yes. Switch the kitchen screen off in Settings and accepted orders go straight to Ready to serve for the counter to hand over.
Can kitchen tickets print automatically?
Yes. Turn on auto-print for the kitchen device. For fully silent printing, start that device's Chrome with the kiosk-printing option and set the kitchen printer as default.
Does the bill wait for the kitchen?
For dine-in restaurants that pay after the meal, and always for takeaway, the invoice is issued once the kitchen has marked the order ready.
